MIXING FLASK was designed as a solution to three main gripes when it comes to conventional utility mixers:

- Mixing too hot is too easy, leading to hard clipping on the mix-bus. And even when there’s an indicator light to warn you when this is happening, there are no features to actively prevent it.
- Utility mixers usually only offer unity gain, so when you have a weak input signal, you’re out of luck
- They’re nauseatingly boring!

Provides solutions to these annoyances in the following ways:

- By implementing a soft-clipping limiting circuit on the mix-bus (inspired by DOPPIO). The highest setting prevents the mix-bus from hard clipping altogether in favour of warm saturation.
- All inputs have a gain of +6dB allowing you to better equalize between volumes while maintaining a hot mix-bus output
- The myriad of indicator lights and front-panel graphics make you feel like a mad scientist in your own modular chemical lab. We bet you won’t find another utility mixer that makes mixing more exciting than MIXING FLASK!

As we posted on our mailing list yesterday, we’re splitting our November price savings into two events.

Next week we’ll launch our second event with deals on a wide range of full kits and the other products we sell. We’ll tell mailing list members first when it’s live. From subtle timbral variation to an all-encompassing sonic treatment, Solid Felt can be used in multiple ways to embellish or vandalize your sound bouquet.

Its patchable design allows the analog filters to be used in stereo, dual mono, or a number of other experimental applications. The two filters, A and B, can operate in lowpass, bandpass, or highpass modes, and both filters feature resonance for squelchy sweeps or pinged self-oscillation purposes. Both cutoff frequency and filter mode can be CV controlled, either by self-patching using the onboard modulators or via external CV signals from eg. Eurorack modular.

4TRG has 4 independent Random Gate skippers with probability knob per channel. The First channel can turn into a Clock generator when no cable is inserted into the Gate input. The Output is then Normalized to the other channels (2-4). It can also create “ratcheting” gates. The knob determines the Ratcheting speed.

4DECAY offers 4 Envelopes for percussive and plucky sounds. The Gate inputs are normalised to the Jack below, which lets you use the same Gate signal for 2, 3 or all 4 channels at the same time.

Trace is a four-channel Interpolating Scanner. Introduced by Jurgen Haible in 1994 and later improved by Donald Tillman in 1999, the Interpolating Scanning circuit is a hybrid between a signal selector and a crossfader.

The circuit morphs between the inputs, fading from one to the next as the voltage control rises. The Trace version of this classic circuit comes with a custom, fine-tuned slope response that prioritizes a smooth transition between the inputs, providing interesting middle points between the channels and improving its behavior when controlled by external CV signals.

Trace is a four-channel Interpolating Scanner created by VOSTOK Instruments in collaboration with Ben Wilson “DivKid”.

GLOOP has the ability to playback recorded loops with 4 simultaneous play heads.

Each play head can be at a different part of the loop, playing at a different speed/pitch, direction and volume. Each play head can also be playing a different area, or sub-loop of the main loop. Gloops excels at building layered textured tones and creating granular style loops. There are 4 x CV inputs which can be assigned to modulate the speed, position or volume of individual or multiple playheads. There are also a number of built in effects including delay, reverb and bitcrush to further sculpt Gloop audio.
