November 28th 2020 – Our campaign has now ended and was a great success!
Thanks so much everyone, what an amazing result. We’re blown away by the volume of orders placed yesterday. Remember there were NO discounts in this ‘Black Friday’ promotion, just the promise that all the profit would go to worthy causes.
We collected £4233 in profit and we rounded this up to a £5000 total donation. We paid it out to the three charities this morning. We’ve posted images confirming payment at the bottom of the page.
– £2000 – Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust (UK)
– £1500 ($2000) – Afrorack (Chicago, USA)
– £1500 ($2000) – Underground Music Academy (Detroit, USA)
This year instead of a sale in November we are donating all profit we make from now until midnight on November 27th (UK Time) to the charities listed below.
We don’t have anything against sales, but if there was ever a year to do something different… 2020 is it.
There are so many worthy causes that might fall under the Black Lives Matter umbrella that it’s impossible to cover all the bases, so we just picked three worthy ones that speak to us. We’ll publish details of all donations by the middle of December.
Underground Music Academy (Detroit, USA)

Underground Music Academy
Underground Music Academy is a Detroit based community music hub, which aims to build the future leaders of independent electronic music growing out of Detroit, and ultimately the world. UMA will do this by focusing on two pillars of electronic music: the art of deejaying, and the art of production.
Underground Music Academy will be founded on the same street as legendary Detroit Black owned music institutions that have influenced the globe, including the Motown Museum, Underground Resistance, and Moodyman’s Mahogani Music. UMA builds upon these rich histories and passes their lessons into the next generations of creators.
Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust (UK)

We work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13 to 30 to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice. We also influence others to create a fairer society in which everyone, regardless of their background, can flourish.
A lot has changed since Stephen Lawrence’s murder in a racist attack in 1993, but some things have stayed the same. Too many young people still struggle to succeed because they are disadvantaged by factors beyond their control, such as where they are born, the school they go to, or any discrimination they may face.
At the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, we don’t accept that your background should limit what you can achieve. We work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13 to 30 to broaden their view of what’s possible. We help them to gain the knowledge, skills, and qualifications they need to pursue the career of their choice, and we support them to progress through the early stages of their career. We also work with community groups, companies and others to create a fairer society in which everyone can thrive.
