We've had quite a few customers ask about spares of inlay aluminium disks for knobs. They have vintage gear with damaged knobs or with disks missing that need some love!

We now stock two sizes, the same high quality aluminium finish as used on our Synth Pointer knobs... not those rough ridged ones you find on cheap Aliexpress and eBay knobs!

If there are other diameter disks you think we should stock in the future please let us know the measurement in mm.

ONEIROI is a full-stereo synthesizer that easily creates dense atmospheres for hypnotic music or cinematic sound design. Featuring three oscillators, four effects, a looper, modulation with complex routing, and a randomizer.

At the core of module, there is a Sine Wave Oscillator, Wavetable/Supersaw, and a joyful Looper. This is followed by an FX section featuring a Multimode filter, a Resonator, a Delay, and a Reverb. The on-board randomizer creates instant patches at the touch of a button. The Looper can record the external input or the output with “Sound On Sound” looping.

The FADE 4 from CCTV is a full DIY kit project to build a performance MIDI and CV Controller with live editting and buttery smooth 10cm faders. All the small SMD parts come presoldered.

Inspired by projects such as 16n Faderbank and Notes and Volts FADR-4, Fade 4 was built from the ground up as a performance tool. Each of the 4 faders can transmit data on any CC channel, as well as Pitch Bend and Program Change. Each fader can be assigned to any MIDI channel. MIDI is transmitted over 1/8″ MIDI (Type A or B) and USB-C (Appears as a class-compliant device named “Fade 4″). Each fader outputs a voltage from 0 to 5V on it’s respective CV output jack (1/8” mono).

Fade 4 is housed in a beautiful textured black aluminum die-cast enclosure, with UV silkcreen printing.

All knobs and no menus, ALGO is an FM synth engine designed to be easily programmed with with hands-on control.

ALGO’s four oscillators can be configured in series or parallel combinations, allowing for the creation of complex FM or additive sound textures. A unique Algorithm Display indicates the signal flow from one oscillator to another – the result is an easy to understand FM voice with pretty twinkly lights !

Each oscillator has controls for Level and Frequency, allowing easy adjustment of FM timbres, no menu diving snorkels needed. Modulation inputs for Frequency or Level for each oscillator – patch in a couple of Envelopes, and you have an instant FM synth voice.

Bored of Sine waves ? A generous Wave Warp control bends things through Triangle to Pulse wave and back again. Wave Warp can be applied to Carrier, Modulator or both types of oscillator.

For the more discerning mangler, Wave Folding is also available in three delicious flavours; Symmetric, Asymmetric and Soft Clip! A Global Detune spread control with CV input is great for creating Netflix apocalypse drones that descend into the abyss.

Lastly an onboard Stereo Chorus can add a vivacious 1980’s shimmer to all your FM creations. Oh, and it’s Stereo !

Tom Whitwell from Music thing Modular says: "This was absolutely my favourite new module at Superbooth."

Bread & Butter is a General MIDI based polyphonic synth voice with 128 selectable instruments plus a drums preset. The sound banks have a synthetic and warm quality to them, and the variety of instruments makes this module a flexible and fun addition in any system. Bread & Butter features the standard V/OCT and GATE inputs for triggering the synth voice.

Thanks to a polyphony of up to 64, the voices will decay independently making it possible to ratchet chords that decay polyphonically. If the HOLD function is engaged, each note will also sustain. In addition, the MIDI input can be used simultaneously with the V/OCT and GATE inputs. For example; trigger the drums on MIDI channel 10 while generating a bass line via the V/OCT/GATE inputs. The synth voices can also be played polyphonically via MIDI.

The module features stereo outputs and the PAN knob lets you spread the polyphonic voices out in the stereo sound field. Parameters such as pitch bend, velocity and instrument selection can be voltage controlled.

uSEQ is an 8HP Eurorack module that brings live coding into your modular system. Fundamentally, it’s an extremely flexible voltage generator and processor. The module has a set of CV and pulse inputs and outputs, but instead of having a fixed set of controls and functions, you can choose how voltages are generated by livecoding them on a computer. This means that you can control uSEQs behaviour with the vast possibilities of creative coding, using a simplified programming language specialised for music.

uSEQ is great for sequencing, waveform generation, and waveform processing. You can use it as a live performance tool, or configure it for specific functions. To start coding with uSEQ, hook up a computer via the USB port, load up the editor in your browser and start playing. Code gets saved automatically in your browser’s local storage as you type, and will be automatically restored when you reopen the web page from the same browser. You can also manually load and save to your computer using the buttons.

Emute Lab Instruments is a new project, based at the University of Sussex, and coming out of the Experimental Music Technologies Lab research group. They're focused on making new instruments based on music technology research. Their first product is uSeq, a eurorack module, that brings two worlds together, livecoding and modular synthesis, in a fun and performative approach to mixing digital and analogue musicking.

The NOH-modular Pianist is a complex voiced chord

The NOH-modular Pianist is a complex voiced chord sequencer. Full DIY kits are in stock at Thonk now. Link in bio.

It sequences chords using v/oct with up to 8-note of polyphony by controlling the root, third, fifth, seventh, and two colourful extensions. Additionally, the module has alternative modes making it compatible with Chord v2 (Qu-Bit Electronix), Plaits- Chord Model (Mutable Instruments), and Chord Organ (Music Thing Modular)!

There is a total of 32 chord slots, the Pianist will automatically voice them to make sense as a progression. However, each chord is easily editable through inversion, and spreading. By default the sequencer will play chords in order, but the chord direction tool enables song structures and clock resolutions in a musically efficient way.

The Pianist can help you compose a chord progression by quantizing your edits within a set scale! This is beneficial to beginners or experimentalists to come up with good-sounding chord progressions. Additionally, the module has a multi-function gate input that brings to life the sequence and makes it incredibly performative. The gate functions are: reset, random, shift, spread, freeze, and skipping to specific chords. Finally, the Pianist has four save slots for you to keep your compositions, or access the three presets with Jazz, Classical, and Modern examples of what the Pianist can achieve!
