Description

The AI007 Quad VCA Mixer is a compact, high quality, and flexible way to control voltage (audio or cv) in your modular system. Each of the four inputs are DC coupled, which makes the VCA compatible with both CV signals and audio signals. The outputs are also normalled together into the ‘Mix’ output, allowing the AI007 to be used as a 4-channel voltage controlled mixer. Once a cable is patched into any individual VCA output then that output is removed from the mix output signal. This allows each channel to be used independently, giving the option of four individual VCAs in total. Each channel has a dedicated knob to shape the curve response from Linear to Exponential. This VCA circuit design borrows portions from Mutable Instruments Veils module. Thanks to Émilie Gillet for her fantastic work.

Note: The AI007 build features SMD components and is not for beginners. Please read the Build Guide prior to purchasing. Care must be taken to ensure that there are no shorts, and if you use additional flux, you may need to probe for continuity in odd places. The AI Synthesis “Trade In” policy does not apply to this kit.
