Description

Radioactive is a 14-bit analog modelling voltage-controlled digital sound source. In short – a complete Eurorack voice in just 6HP.

Packed inside the Radioactive voice there are 3 x simultaneous independent oscillators, a voltage-controlled AR/ASR transient generator, a voltage-controlled pitch slew (glide) and a voltage-controlled waveshaper with 5 different modes, and more! Other features include selectable gate/trigger/constant envelope timing signals, a rather unique 3-voice polyphonic mode, semitone quantised mode, voltage controlled waveform selection and a few experimental features for good measure!

At its core this module is a highly experimental chiptune inspired wavetable-ridden Lo-Fi sound generator that’s pulling an absolute maximum out of its simple 8-bit MCU. It will sometimes roar, glitch, pop and buzz like crazy and alias on very high notes when some odd waveforms are selected, and
you can’t do anything about it except love it or turn some pots down and hope it will behave. It just isn’t a nice VCO and it was never meant to be one – Radioactive was purposely made it to be wild, raw and untamed. The world is full of nice VCOs.

Latest version 1.2 – kits are provided with the MCU already flashed – no calibration required and all smd already pre-soldered!

Operation

• V/Oct Pitch input with attenuator

• 3 CV inputs with offset (Glide/Attack, Release, Shaper)
